Fighting terrorism with the logic
I only know that in the last century have died from 150 to 180 million people, for various reasons: war, genocide, concentration camps ... It looks like a huge thing. We do a little reflection, however, since we are mathematicians. How many are we? Six billion. The deaths of the last century, therefore, represent one-fortieth of the world population. In 1500 only the conquests of Spain and Portugal have killed 80 to 100 million people, or one fifth of the world population at the time, which was 450 million people. Terrorism in its entire history has 15,000 dead. So no. I do not think the threat of terrorism. But I do not think even pacifism, because I know that power is taken and kept in a military. Anyone who says peace must accept the possibility of not taking power, if it wishes, and lose if it does. The Dalai Lama said it clearly: we Tibetans are so peaceful that we have lost our country.
