What is love? Probably the most powerful force that nature has ever produced, able to discover, to surprise, to catch us off guard and to transform our lives. A great power that makes the wise fool, the coward brave, the illiterate poet. In it lies the ability to harmonize opposites. Energy that transforms us, leading us in our greatest achievements, which supports the hand of the poet in the act of composing his poetry, suggests to the musician known for his song and directs the painter's brush on the canvas. All the biggest things are the source of love and reflection. Love, can create, modify and, consequently, to change the world around us.
When passion takes over our reason, everything seems different, better. As emphasized Alberoni: "Falling in love in this opacity introduces a blinding light" the light of a flash that, before long, fades, but illuminates intensely our life, or the glow of a fire, fed with perseverance and dedication, satisfies us, spreading light and warmth which reverb tinged with the reality, day by day, with different shades, always new. The constant thought of the loved one with us and never leaves us alone, guides us and makes us enjoy life in every moment. Another soul is the companion of our lives with us, suffers with us and rejoice with us in total sharing of experiences and emotions.
Often, love is revealed to us as an unexpected, it catches us unprepared, and is able to amaze us, sometimes the person whose turn our attention, which captures our heart is entirely normal in the eyes of the world and, in some cases, even to our own. And 'this very simplicity that Gozzano, a member of the movement dusk, highlights: the naturalness of the beloved protagonist of the poem "The Lady Felicity or Happiness," and he emphasizes words discharged: "You wanted to please me, miss; and more than any city I am flattered that your wins will to pleasure. " This woman has brought the poet to reality, making him understand the value of simple things, the value it can take a microcosm permeated by suffering. For the love no other research achievements but to the heart of the beloved.
To understand all these aspects, is more eloquent than words at a glance the work of Canova, "Amor and Psyche" in which two lovers are caught in the moment just before the kiss. Their arms form two rings of one chain to the center of which the faces are close to each other, trapping the viewer's gaze. Psyche is completely abandoned in the arms of love, that seems to want to escape reality with him to raise the quota to something bigger. Love is exactly that: a close embrace that never leaves and gives the feeling of being completely detached from the world around us. This bond is unbreakable
highlighted by Dante in one of the most famous passages of the Inferno: the meeting with Paolo and Francesca in Canto V. The two lovers are among the lustful, as they have neglected the greater good, transcendent love of God, emphasizing, instead, an earthly love, and, most importantly, adulterer. Dante, however, is deeply moved by the two lovers and characterizes the speech with a courtly language and high, are generally not used by the Poet in Hell. Well, Frank says, "Love that exempts no one beloved from loving, I took delight in him so strongly that, as you see, has not left me yet."
True love is an emotion that needs to be reciprocated, as the loved one can not escape the force and is, therefore, prone to love itself. There is an extraordinarily intense bond between the two men, walking side by side, driven by the storm from hell. So, this immense force can not be completely explained by words, one can not understand until you experience first hand and you can not even see through the eyes, but there is, is present and alive: they we see the reflection in the eyes of two lovers, in the hands that touch, the lips that sigh; perceive its presence in a work, because it is the artist's inspiration, and sometimes we see the most complete realization in the birth of a new life.
What, then, if not the love that spark of the Infinite that gets our heart?
